The NEW Website is now live and accessbile.

Our new web address is: wellsvilleschools.org .

For now, both the new and old sites will be used. All Headlines & News, Calendars, new information and additions will only be posted on the new site. The old site will serve as is and some links from the new site will revert back to it. As we continue to migrate to the new site, portions of the old site will be turned off. We will continue to build portions of the new site, this does take time and appreciate your patience during the migration and creation processes.

Thank you again to each person who replied to our survey. The results from the survey were shared with the Board of Education in February. We hope that the design and purpose of the new site meets and exceeds the epxectations of our community, parents and students.

WMS 6th Grade Launches Technology Initiative

Wellsville Middle School took a giant step into the 21st Century by issuing 6th grade students iPads for daily classroom use on Friday, February 1, 2013. Our first goal in taking on this pilot program is to have our students collaborate, communicate, create, and innovate using a tool that connects them instantly to the digital world. Over the past two years students have had limited access to iPads in school via iPad carts that are shared between grades and between teachers. This project will allow our students to have their own device for the entire school day.  It is our hope that in the near future we will have procedures in place to allow students to bring the iPads home.  Until we are ready to launch that portion of the project,  students will pick up their iPad in the morning before their first class,  and plug it back in the charging cart before they leave at the end of the school day.
