WELLSVILLE MIDDLE SCHOOL
SUPPLY LIST
2011-2012

8thGrade (changes in orange as of 8/1/11)

  • 7 two-pocket folders (red, yellow, blue, green, purple, plus two of any other color)

  • 2 spiral notebooks (1 blue - Math; 1 purple - Foreign Language)

  • 2 (1.5" size) three-ring binders: 1 with pockets for Social Studies, 1 with colored dividers for Foreign Language

  • White-lined composition paper

  • 2 packs of 3x5 index cards

  • Pencils and Pens (blue or black ink) No gel pens, please!

  • Colored pencils

  • 2 Boxes of tissues for student’s homeroom

  • Four heavy paper book covers for covering textbooks (non-sticky/non-stretch)

  • One hardcover composition notebook (black/white type)

7th Grade

  • 3 three-ring binders (two 1 ½ inch for Foreign language and Social Studies and then 2” for Science) with set of dividers for each.

  • Three (blue-math, yellow – ELA, purple-foreign language, one-subject spiral notebook with a minimum of 100 pages

  • One pack of 100, 3x5 white index cards

  • Lots of white loose leaf paper

  • Pencils, erasers, blue or black ballpoint pens, highlighters and colored pencils.

  • Nine two-pocket folders (French/Spanish – 1 purple, LA – 4 yellow, Math – 1 blue, Science 2 green and Social Studies – 1 red)

  • 2 hard covered composition books, black and white marble style (LA and Science)

  • Inexpensive basic calculator. Only needs to be able to add, subtract, multiply and divide

  • Two boxes of tissues for your homeroom

6th Grade

  • Pencils (no mechanical) Pens: Red and Blue or Black

  • Zippered bag for pens/pencils

  • Two hard covered composition books (LA and SS)

  • Loose leaf paper

  • Highlighters

  • Colored Pencils

  • 3 three-ring binders (2 inch for Math, 1 inch for Science and 1 inch for SS)

  • 2 durable plastic folders OR six paper folders PER SUBJECT are needed. Folders must be color coded (Math - blue, LA - yellow, S.S. - red and Science - Green)

  • Unified Arts Folders – 5 of any color.

  • No trapper keepers, no spiral notebooks, no rolling backpacks. Stacking shelves are suggested for lockers. Lockers measure 8 in wide by 10 in deep. All students will be given an assignment planner in September. Replacement cost is $5.00.
