"READ ACROSS AMERICA DAY" - Friday, March 1, 2002
NEA's Read Across America is an annual reading motivation and awareness program that calls for every child in every communtiy to celebrate reading on Dr. Seuss's birthday March 2nd.
There are many reading filled activities planned at the Elementary School that day.
EVENTS:
-A visit from the Cat in the Hat.
-Special Dr. Seuss breakfast, lunch and birthday cake.
-Trivia contest in the library.
-Parent/student reading
packets sent home.
-Community readers visit classrooms to share their favorite Dr. Seuss books.
-School wide DEAR time @ 10:50 (Gr.3-5) and 1:35 (Gr.k-2)
